Our Drivers

All company drivers have Hazchem certificates (training in dealing with hazardous substances), which are updated annually. Our drivers are trained by the National Institute of Transport (NIT) in Tanzania, making them acquire the best practice and expertise to operate in any African country.

All our trucks are fitted with GPRS tracking systems which enable us to monitor driver behaviour performance and to analyse for over-revving, harsh braking and speed violations.

This system is linked to a tag per driver and can also monitor working/driving hours. The minimum requirements are 98%. It is expected from staff to achieve 100% all the time.

StateOil drivers are carefully screened before being hired and are required to be drug free. We stress during their employment, that they be courteous and polite to all our customers. We have specialized professional mechanics that maintain our fleets at all times, in land or on transit
